Over 85% of Respondents
Check Search Engines
For Feedback
about Product/Service
Before Making Buying Decisions

Recently Free Traffic System team did an online poll asking its uses to answer the following question, “Do you check search engines for feedback about a product/service before buying this product/service?

Out of 1,230 people who voted in the poll, 86.02% (1058 voters) voted Yes, and 13.98% (172) voted No.

Please check the screenshot below with the info-graphics about the poll results

Does that mean that if negative feedback about your product/service
ranks high in search engines for your product/service name,
then you will lose over 85% of sales?

Definitely this statement cannot be true. And this is for a number of reasons.

First of all, the voters of the poll have reported to check the feedback, but that does not imply that they will make their buying decision just on the feedback on web pages they see ranking high in search engines.

Another thing that could influence the results of the online poll is the psychological factor. Part of the users could give positive answer, just because they did not feel ok to admit (even to themselves) that they are not doing such an obviously simple and useful thing as checking the feedback online before spending the money on it.

Still, even taking these factors into account, the poll shows that the majority of the voters:
- type into search engines the product/service name;
- check for the feedback for the product/service;
- and it is very likely that this feedback will influence the buying decision of the potential customers.

The Battle for Low Competition Keywords
In Your Niche is About to be Finished
Did YOU Manage to Get Your Part of the Pie?

trapEveryone who is serious about doing business online (no matter if you are selling $1 product or $1,000,000 product) is interested to get top positions for as many niche keywords as possible. 5-7 years ago businesses have been fighting for general keywords, like weight loss, forex, video games, etc. Then the battle went deeper, for less “traffic-juicy” but still very attractive niche keywords.

Now we are in the final stage of this battle, when the fight is about the niche keywords with the lowest link building competition possible. Surely these keywords don’t have much traffic. But:

- this is super targeted traffic (long tail niche keywords) which is great for any online business;

- this is much faster in terms of getting page 1 for these keywords;

- this process can easily be “duplicated”; for example, if you get top positions for 50 low competition keywords with each keyword having just 10 searches per month, in total this sums up to 50 keywords x 10 searches = 500 targeted searches per month

You Have Absolutely Realistic Chances
To Win the Last Stage of this Battle
In Your Niche!
This is How You Can Do It…

Step 1. Choosing the keywords.

It is important to choose the targeted keywords with very low link building competition. These keywords must have close relation to the topic of your product/service.

Some of our clients ask to choose only “hot buying keywords”, the keywords which are very likely to sell their product/service. Whereas this approach makes perfect sense, still other client go even further and ask to “wipe out all low competition keywords that you can find in my niche.”

So, if you are on a low budget, then the idea of choosing the most converting keywords is better for you. Those who have more money, surely it is better to get as many keywords into your pocket as possible. Because if you don’t do that, then your competitors will do that.

Step 2. Creating the info for the content trap.

With this step it all depends upon the client. We prefer to create unique articles that are strictly about the topic of the keyword. If this is “dolphin skating in Hawaii”, then the article is precisely about this topic.

Though, it is also possible to create content traps in the format of videos, audio, PDF – anything that can be somehow indexed by search engines AND read/watched/listened by the user.

Step 3. Publishing content trap on site with rapid indexation.

Rapid indexation by search engines is, perhaps, the most important element about this strategy. Your content traps has real chances to get page 1, without building any backlinks to it, ONLY if you are publishing it on a site that has great reputation with search engines and is quickly indexed.

Otherwise you will wait for your content traps to rank high for months or even years.

Step 4. Quality of content traps and your own reputation.

If you think that reputable sites don’t understand what you are doing with that low competition game, then you are seriously mistaken. They know it perfectly well that you want to “stake a claim” on as many niche keywords as possible so that (with the help of the reputation of these sites) you get page 1 quickly and milk this traffic.

So, they know what you are doing. And they are not against it.

But they demand EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY of the content traps that you are creating. And they will allow to play this game only to those people whom they trust.

For example, our company had to invest several years into building up our reputation in the eyes of one of the sites where we publish the content traps now. Maybe it will take you a smaller period of time, maybe a larger period. But don’t kid yourself thinking that top reputable sites will allow you to play with using them to claim your high ranks on low competition keywords with THEIR HELP if you do not invest much effort into the quality of your info and into building great relationship with the company.

SUMMARY:

Yes, this strategy involves routine and massive work.
Yes, this strategy does not produce overnight results.
And, yes, you’d have to show exceptional quality with it.

BP Gulf Leak Reveals
The New Reality on
Public Relations Market

Quite often big problems shake the vision of the world. The old picture gets obscure, illogical and starts to fade away. And behind this old picture we can see the outlines of a new picture. The picture that will dominate the market from now and on.

BP gulf leak, also known as BP oil spill, an accident which took place in the Gulf of Mexico, together with ecological agenda has risen the question about validity of traditional online public relation strategies. Beyond any doubt British Petroleum must be spending huge budgets on public relations, trying to fight back  against negative feedback. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that this is one of the most expensive PR campaigns during the last decade.

And this situation is sort of “testing grounds” to see what is working in online PR and what is not. Lots of PR experts are diligently recording all details about who is doing what and how it helps.

Moreover, we see that absolutely unexpected PR strategies show up on the market.

…these unexpected strategies show us
how exactly online PR may look
in the next several years

One of the biggest discoveries is that strategies (that are actually very cheap) can produce great results and help to shape up the public opinion in the proper way.

This article – the one you are reading right now – is one of the examples. Because this article ranks very nicely in Google for the keyword ‘BP gulf leak’.

Just imagine the value that a web page which ranks high for ‘BP gulf leak’ in search engines has for British Petroleum at the moment. It is a marvelous opportunity to build the public opinion of the people who are concerned about ‘BP gulf leak.’

But this is just the beginning, because…

The Biggest *Shock* is that This Page
Ranked High in Search Engines
For Specific Keyword ‘BP Gulf Leak’
Because WE Pushed It There
MANUALLY

This was done with the help of advanced SEO (search engine optimization tools) that can put any web page you need on the 1st page in search engines for any keyword you need.

And this is a BOMB. Because it brings an absolutely new meaning to public relations online and the strategies that PR companies will use in the next several years.

Let’s mention just a few “discoveries”:

Discovery #1

You get real possibility to push any web page you need. And this great, because no longer you need to hope for the best. Now you know WHAT EXACTLY you are pushing up in search engine ranks.

Discovery # 2

You can push the page for any keyword you need. And this is very important, because this is a laser-targeted delivery of the information to the people whom you want to see it (watch it, listen to it, etc.). You choose who will read your publications.

Discovery # 3

If you can push one web page high in ranks for a specific keyword, it means you can push more pages as well. And it means that you can even make the whole Google page 1 packed with the pages that YOU need (pages with articles, press releases, blog comments, forum threads, videos, social network pages, etc.) for the keywords that YOU need. Just imagine how much money BP would have paid to those who could pack Google page 1 with positive or, at least, neutral results.

Discovery # 4

And this is, perhaps, the most powerful discovery.

Do you understand that you can do all this BEFORE the problem knocks at the door?

You can have your pages, for the “nasty” keywords that you need on Google page 1 BEFORE someone starts a media attack against you.

Moreover, when you do that in advance, it will cost you LESS.

This small list of discoveries will not change the major idea of how public relations work. But it will seriously change lots of the strategies of online PR, because it can give BETTER results for SMALLER sums of money.
