How long would this placement be guaranteed? Meaning if this is a one time thing; how do you keep it from dropping in rank after the initial push?

Let me be honest and say that only Google can guarantee anything here
Realistically.
But what we see is that often even with one full promo cycle of push (with videos, media distribution, etc. like we do here) you get stable ranks in places and don’t fall back.
To get the results I showed on the screenshot in this blog post I did just 1 video (full cycle promo), social bookmarks, other “interactive social magic,” and publication on 20 wiki pages with backlinks pointing according to our strategy. There are nuances I am not mentioning, but they don’t hide the general picture from you.
In about a month after it I got to rank for 1 English keyword and 2 local keywords, on page 1, inside Places results.
This is the most frugal stable SEO I’ve ever done.
Surely the experience can be different, but the niche in the example is pretty tough. People fight for years to rank well on the keywords that I got page 1 within a month.
And now imagine if you do up to 5 videos full cycle promo? Wow!
p.s. And, once again, this is a “slapped” site, junked to #145 in organics. This is what makes the whole experience about this strategy even more fantastic

There is a way to work with places local and then national. I cannot open all secrets right now, but as SEO migrated a lot to places, we found a way to clone your business from local to national and wider with the places

As a rule with 1 month after proper promo we get good results.
Of course, it depends upon the niche and location and difficulty when exactly you get high. But the most important is that you don’t use bad SEO, because we use alternative SEO for places.

I know you dont’ want to spill the beans on your Google Places SEO strategy, but for those of us with absolutlely no physical business, will it work for us? My business had no physical building. It a purely online business. Will you’re Google Places strategy work for me?

As a rule within a month after the promo is started the listing ranks page 1 in organics, inside Google Places module that is shown in organic results. But, to be on the safe side, we say to our clients that 2-3 months are needed to get stable results.
Though, once again, many people saw page 1 within a month after we started the promo of the listing.

I think strategically – if we are talking about Google Places – Google should keep lowering the impact of different directories, review sites and other sources of bulk citation building. Because these are quite easy to get built and they hack Google.
Google already did good steps in dropping down the value of “reviews” and “listings” that are built on thousands of web sites automatically and/or manually. They will do more in this direction I think.
In this respect the value of real reputation will increase greatly. And sites should focus on doing it more B2B way, building their online reputation and trust in establishing better relations with other sites/businesses – and obviously increasing the ranks both in organic results and Google Places.
