I think you have to spend lots of money to get on and stay on page 1 of google I have done many things and only been there for a very very short time that ok if your not a small busniess that just does not have the money to keep paying out

Absolutely of the same opinion!
Even wrote a post about it, because I hate when SEO services, just trying to lure the client into the game, tell that “it will not cost much, a tiny budget and 2 months and you are there” – come on, SEO industry is growing, most of the planet knows about it, big businesses investing thousands and dozens of thousands of $$$ into SEO budgets every month – how can one with $200/month expect to get page 1 for keywords like ‘forex trading’ or ‘make money online’ ?!?!
And, this is one of the reasons we started this niche research, because one of its advantages is that you can find “sleeping niches”, niches that have the power to become a hit, but at the moment others don’t notice them.
Logically in that niches the competition is not fierce – and, logically, SEO budgets for these niches will be smaller.

Online market research can be lots of different things but knowing the keyword trends is definitely something important if you want to do an important part of your business online. The keywords you think (being professional in your industry) is not often the one people are looking for and it is important to know it.
